I keep looking at what the people of Venezuela are going through and how much they struggle to survive. It seems hard to believe how life can change overnight and how unprepared most people are. Many people believe that something like that won’t happen to us and there is no reason in spending a lot of money on stockpiling a pantry. In fact, they should realize that there are no more safety nets and even though we live a plentiful life, stockpiling a few survival foods can provide you with the upper hand if the brown stuff hits the fan.
The following survival foods should be found in every pantry and here is why:
These tightly packed dehydrated cubes of vegetables, meat stock fat and seasonings can last for ages if properly stored. As survival foods, they have many advantages because one could quickly turn them into a soup or broth, you could take them with you on the road and they add flavor to your other survival foods such as rice, beans or pasta. To make sure bouillon cubes last for decades, make sure you vacuum seal them to prevent moisture from reaching the package.
