Paracord is super useful to have in a SHTF or survival situation, since it has so many uses. This lightweight, strong nylon rope can be used secure cargo, suspend a makeshift shelter, and even act as a tourniquet in an emergency situation. The trouble is that these kind of situations can sneak up on us, and it isn’t realistic to carry around rope with us all the time. Unless, of course, you find a way to keep it on your person that is convenient.
DIY projects has a list of projects that use paracord in some way to where it is accessible in a time of need. It turns out that you can weave bracelets, watchbands, pet collars, and even wallets out of paracord. This way, the paracord is always right there within reach. My favorite project is the paracord belt.
