Ancient civilizations have been using crude bows and arrows to shoot big, slow fish like carp for a long time. This was usually done from a canoe or boat and sometimes even from the bank. This is no new method for survival but it is worth talking about. Since then things have changed. What has changed most is the technology. Now bow hunters have the ability to use serious bows that are capable of accuracy as far as 70 yards. This makes bow fishing even more of a viable option.
