This DIY porch is a testament to what you can do with pallets!
This project will require you to take the pallets apart and remove all the nails. As the author suggests, if you plane the boards prior to laying them, you will be much happier with the result! Finish the deck off with some weatherproofing and stain and the end result will look beautiful!
Remember when sourcing out pallets, ALWAYS get the heat treated ones. They will be stamped “HT” or “heat treated” if you don’t see the stamp chances are they are chemically treated; you do not want those pallets. They contain nasty chemicals that will wash off into your garden or yard.
If you are lucky enough to pick up free pallets you could literally make this cabin for the cost of screws. The author was able to get their pallets for free and the supplies only cost them around $120!
