When you think about storing vegetables you may not think about storing them fresh. Are you aware that you can store things like carrots all through the winter in the fresh form? Its a great opportunity. Many people will dice them, boil them and freeze them. This article is great and works on opening your eyes to the potential of growing and storing hardy vegetables.
Hardy vegetables are some of my favorites. As good as a fresh tomato is I prefer to grow turnips for their delicious tuber and their tangy greens.
