This article is a great, no nonsense, look at the goals of prepping. I find that there are a number of conflated situations that we prepare for but as the author states, ‘we are all just preparing for an interruption in the day-to-day life we’re used to.’ This is a great look at what we are actually trying to accomplish. Be honest, life is pretty good for most of us. That is why we panic when we think about it coming to end or changing drastically.
Sometimes these theoretical or even philosophical articles on prepping and survival offer great insight. When you are taking on a project the size of your current preparedness outlook its always good to have some serious introspection. Sometimes its nice to take a break from all the madness of canning, shooting and bushcraft.
